Kimberly “Kim” Johnston is the founder and owner of Reliant Accounting Pros, LLC., bringing over 25 years of experience in the accounting field. She passed the CPA exam in 2023, is CPA eligible in the State of Florida (FDPBR) is a Certified Public Bookkeeper. She is passionate about building strong, one-on-one relationships with her clients.
Kim is also listed on the IRS website (a list of preferred tax preparers) as a credentialed tax preparer. She can prepare any federal corporate or personal tax return as well as all 50 states’ returns.
Kim works with individuals, small business owners, and nonprofit organizations, providing personalized guidance and practical financial solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
As a QuickBooks Online Advanced Level 2 Certified ProAdvisor and QuickBooks Payroll Certified, Kim helps clients choose the right accounting software, set up or clean up their bookkeeping systems, and provides ongoing training or fully outsourced accounting support.
She is an active member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Kim gained much of her professional experience working in residential construction accounting before relocating to Hosford, FL, where she now resides with her husband Walter (Larry) and 85lb bulldog named Buddy.
Kim earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Taxation from Jacksonville University. She is also a Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) through the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) and is currently studying to become an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), which will allow her to represent clients before the IRS.
